The Micromax Canvas 2 A116 is officially announced to be launched next month in India. The success of its fore runner Micromax Canvas 2 A110 makes the entry of the younger generation Canvas 2 A116 more eventful. Its an Android operated HD smartphone with dual sim facility and 5” 720p IPS screen with a colour depth of 16 million colours. It is powered by 1.2GHz quad core processor. The best feature of the phone is that it is budget friendly.
The techies have been anticipating for something tough to compete with the galaxy series. Now the wait is ended with Canvas 2 A116. The new model has 294ppi pixel density. The chip set also is of improved quality- MediaTek MT6589. The device has 1GB RAM and the PowerVR Series 5XT GPU. The Micromax Canvas 2 A116 is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It has a rear camera of 8MP with LED flash and auto focus and a front camera with VGA. The phone has 4GB internal storage memory and a microSD card slot to expand the memory up to 32GB.
Internet and connectivity of this phone is supported by 3G GSM, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. It has a 2100mAh battery also. The Micromax Canvas 2 A116 will be available in India from next month, at a rate of 15,000/- Indian Rupees. The phone will be having the interface with some Micromax applications such as the M Buddy, M Store, M! SMS, M! Zone and few others apart from the standard Google based applications which are seen in every Android phone.
The intention of Micromax is quite evident. Other smartphones with this large display and features will be having a price tag which would be sky-high for a middle class customer. This device serves for the need of the common mass.
