Xiaomi has launched its flagship smartphone, Mi3, for a much lesser price than originally announced last week, that is just Rs. 13,999. With a very cheap price tag and high-end specs comparable to the Sony Xperia Z1, the Google Nexus 5 and the LG G2, Mi3 is sure to win the hearts of many. Along with Mi3, RedMi 1S, and RedMi Note are also expected to reach Indian shores soon for Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 9,999 respectively. Mi3 is up for pre-registration starting today till June 21st midnight and will be available exclusively on Flipkart from July 22nd 12 PM.
The Xiaomi Mi3 sports a 5-inch 1080p (1920x1080 Pixels, 441 ppi) IPS display and is powered by a Quad-core 2.3 GHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 8274AB SoC with Adreno 330 GPU coupled with 2GB RAM and 16 GB non-expandable internal storage. The device runs on Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean) optimized with MIUI version 5 and is backed by 3050 mAh Li-Ion Battery.
It also has a 13 MP primary camera with LED flash and a secondary 2 MP camera for video-calls. Mi3 comes with a metal body (magnesium alloy frame which is coated in three layers of thermal graphite film) and sleek design with thickness measuring in at 8.1 mm and weighs 145 grams.
The Xiaomi Mi3 will be available in Metallic Gray color. The company has set up a network of service centers in 20 big cites in India. There will be 2 exclusive Mi centers in New Delhi and Mumbai, which will have two hour turn around times. Additionally there will be 34 partner operated service centers that will have one day turn around times.
