LG Mobiles releases its much talked of flagship smartphone the LG G4 today in four international locations - New York, London, Paris, Istanbul, Singapore and Seoul. News on the device’s launch has been making rounds for some time now. What with major online sites creating real hype about the presumed specifications of the new smartphone and fans keeping a close vigil on the scheduled release of the smartphone in the markets soon, here is a sneak-peak into the possible features of the LG G4:
the new G4 will come with a 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (the one that also powers the G Flex 2) paired with 3GB of RAM.There will be 3GB of RAM onboard along with storage options of 32GB, 64GB and even 128GB.
The new LG G4 is expected to share the same design as its predecessor the LG G3. That brings us down to a A classic, metallic body that is light-weight, adds comfort and portability. Intuitively refined Rear Key and Floating Arc Design make the sides much thinner, allowing easy one-hand control.
The new LG G4 is expected to be made available in metallic gray, ceramic white, shiny gold and genuine leather options. With the company laying high claims that even Steve Jobs would love the new LG G4 if he were alive, the success of the design is left a suspense until its release.
Going by what sources have to say, the new entrant will feature a 5.5 quad-HD (2560x1440) LCD display. The display will have a contrast ratio that is 50 per cent higher than conventional QHD LCD panels, while the brightness has increased by 30 per cent without any increase in power consumption. Also, instead of placing the touch panel on top of the LCD, LG has embedded the touch sensor within the LCD. This means that the device will be slimmer with an improved touch response due to reduced thickness of the panel.
Sources claim that LG G4 will feature a 16 MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, fastest auto-focus feature and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) v2.0. On the front side, it is expected to have a 7MP shooter with 3264x1836p resolution clicking ability. This makes the device the first of it’s kind in the smartphone market.
According to an information leak, the software will comprise UX 4.0 built on the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system to run this device.
The LG G4 is expected to include LTE Cat.6 or Cat.9 connectivity with VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, NFC, and micro USB v3.0.
Finally the phone is expected to house a 3,000 mAh removable battery and 16 or 32GB of internal storage and expandable memory up to 2TB, like its predecessor the G3. A rough estimate of the price of the new LG G4 is around $1060 or about Rs. 67,840.
