Sony Launched the Xperia A4 exclusively for Japan in collaboration with NTT DoCoMo. The smartphone is due to hit the Japanese markets in June this year. The phone displays immense similarities to the specs and design of the Xperia Z3 Compact launched in India last year.
The reasons for such open comparison between the Xperia Z3 and the Xperia A4 are the obvious replication of the latter’s features. At a feather-light 129 grams and with dimensions scaling 128 x 66 x 9.1 mm, the new Xperia A4 screams of compactness!
Like most top-of-the-ladder smartphones belonging to the mid-range category, the Sony Xperia A4 comes with a 720p display at 4.6 inches and with dust- and water-proof IPX5/8 and IP6X standard screen. Sony’s brilliant Triluminos Technology can be seen working at its best on the Xperia A4’s display.
When it comes to the performance, users can expect a super fast 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC coupled with 2 GB RAM and with the latest Android 5.0 OS(Lollipop). The Xperia A4 comes with the usual connectivity options like - Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, NFC, GPS with GLONASS, and MHL support, as seen in most top-end smartphones.
The Xperia A4 is a 4G LTE enabled smartphone. On the storage front you will find 32 GB ROM and a Micro SD slot which supports an expanded memory of up to 128 GB.
The Xperia A4 derives power from a 2,600mAh battery that keeps it lighted up for three days on casual use. The smartphone will come in a matte finish rear panel. Users can opt from among black, white, blue, or pink colours. The price of this device is yet to be released.
It would be hard luck if you are stoned by the features of this new Xperia smartphone. Because, it’s going to take a while before the Sony Xperia A4 reaches the Indian shores. If you have a fetish for tech rumours, then well, you may want to watch out for the Sony Xperia Z4 Compact. We suggest that’s going to be the future alias for the Xperia A4 in India.

Nice phone. But Sony always keeps cutting short on few specs when it trys to provide the best in some cases. For example great rear camera. But front camera??? not acceptable.
