The new lineup of Xperia smartphones are on the news already. The Xperia Z5 Premium is already creating waves in the tech world. The Z5 Premium is certainly regal with its 5.5 inch 4K display, which the company claims to be the first for a smartphone. At the launch event in Berlin, Sony also the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium will hit the markets in November 2015, while Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact will launch globally by October 2015. The Sony Xperia Z5 and Sony Xperia Z5 Premium will be available in both single SIM and dual SIM variants, with India expected to get the dual SIM models of the phones. So far there had been no news on the pricing of these phones.



The large 5.5 inch 4K display comes with a screen rseolution of 3840x2160 pixels. Packing more than 800 pixels per inch the Xperia Z5 is equipped with a full HD screen. The way the 4K content loads on the device will be a visual treat.

There's certainly a discussion to be had about whether a 4K display on a smartphone is a waste of battery power or graphics power, but the history of mobile tech tells us that this is inevitably the shape of things to come. Xperia Z5 Premium also feature's Sony's on display feature - the data transfer between processor and device is optimised so Xperia Z5's display memory technology, which remembers the display of images seen on your smartphone thereby caches the image or video so that you don't need to reload the full image each time you want to view it thus preserving battery power in the process. Connectivity options on the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium include DLNA and MHL 3.0 to enjoy your content on a 4K TV.

There is a undeniable discussion whether a 4K display on a smartphone eats up a lot of your battery or graphics power. But if we take a closer look it definitely will. Now the major question will be how this superior 4K display is going to affect other functionalities of the device. As per the company the 3,430mAh battery is guaranteed to deliver up to two days of power.

Will the 810 Snapdrgon processor featured in the Z5 Premium be able to tolerate a full HD display without any sluggishness? We will have to wait for the release in order to clear all our queries.
