So, I bought a phone off of e-bay that said Sprint CDMA unlocked. When I received the phone I called Sprint who I read the IMEI number off too. They said they could not find the IMEI number in the system. It is a Sprint phone I thought ...what! So I called around to a couple CDMA providers and asked them if they could run the IMEI, again they said they couldn't find the phone. So, I got the run around of the phone is either not unlocked, still under contract...blah blah. Well, I decided to run the IMEI myself in which the phone came back as GSM rather than CDMA. Well, how in the heck can that be? When I start up the phone the phone says Sprint, so how can it be registered as GSM? If it starts up as Sprint, then this tells me it was a factory Sprint phone, I am lost and no one can seem to activate this phone.
