HTC Butterfly Launches in India For INR 46,000/-

Finally, putting an end to the nearly frenzied anticipation for a premium smartphone, HTC launched its flagship smartphone Butterfly in India. Now Butterfly is the most costly smartphone available in India. It carries a price tag of around 46,000/- Indian rupees. This price tag places Butterfly above Apple iPhone 5S base model and Nokia Lumia 920 and much ahead of Samsung Galaxy SIII. Previously the title 'most costly smartphone in India' belonged to Samsung Galaxy SIII, which launched with a price tag of 43,180/- Indian rupees. But they had to cut their price to 40,000/- Indian rupees, and now the phone is available in online markets for just 32,000/-.

The Butterfly has 5.0” super LCD 3 screen with full HD resolution. The screen has 1920×1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 at 441 ppi. The design of the phone has the measurements like5.63×2.8×0.36 inches and it weighs about 140 grams. The phone has Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) platform. It has the back up of 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ8064) CPU. The Butterfly phone has 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage memory which is expandable up to 32 GB with microSD card.

The device has an 8MP rear camera with 28mm lens and F2.0 aperture, BSI sensor and LED flash and1920×1080 (Full HD) video recording. It has a front camera of 2.1 MP for video calling. It has connectivity including 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, HDMI via MHL, GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS and microUSB 2.0. HTC Butterfly is powered by a 2020 mAh battery.

HTC butterfly had its announcement in October 2012 and appeared in the market under the names 'HTC Droid DNA' in the US and 'Butterfly J' in Japan. HTC is expected to unveil their next product HTC M7 in the upcoming Mobile World Congress which will be held in Barcelona, next month.
