The device in the video bears strong resemblance to another Asus manufactured product- the Nexus 7.The video mostly highlights a range of pre-installed apps, like Asus Studio photo editing, BudyBuzz social media manager, MyPainter, SuperNote Lite, and Floating App for multi tasking. The video also shots sight into some of the tablet's more attractive hardware features, including 5GB of cloud storage from Asus that can be used to sync data between a PC and the Memo Pad.
The rumoured features of Asus Memopad are as follows. The device is to come with a 7 inch screen of 1024×600 display. It will be having a VIA WM8950 1GHz Mali 400 CPU. The device will be having a 1GB RAM. It has a front facing camera with 1MP, but no rear camera. It also has a microSD card slot to expand its external Memory. With Android 4.1 installed out of the box, there are some great features like Project Butter, making the tablet run smoothly with no lagging. There will be the personal assistant Google Now, which makes sure that you receive the right information you need when you need it.
According to the video, the 7 inch screen offers ten-finger multi-touch that the tablet is a perfect fit for your hands. ASUS Studio lets you manage, edit and tag your photos. You can add your own special touch to your pictures with the use of your finger. BuddyBuzz allows you to keep an eye on all of the social networks you follow, in just one place so you will never miss an important message. SonicMaster Audio Technology with Audio Wizard gives you multimedia capabilities on the fly and My Painter lets you become an artist while mobile. If you need to write a list or just have an urge to doodle, SuperNote Lite lets you type, write or scribble anywhere, any time.
The tablet features a 5GB cloud based storage, that can be used to sync data back and forth between your laptop, smartphone, PC and tablet. You can even create, view, edit and share office files with WebStorage Online Office. Floating App will let you multitasking between the browser, video, countdown timer, calendar, email and sticky Memo.
The Tablet is to arrive in three different colours- Sugar White, Titanium Grey and Cherry Pink. The Tablet is priced around 8000/- Indian Rupees. Though they have released the video, the tech world is not so impressed as they know that these were not original shots. The analysts are waiting for more original shots from the company.
