Apple Experiments with iOS Watches!!

A report in the New York Times indicates that Apple is getting a new watch- like device ready with iOS.

The last Sunday’s New York Times came out with a rather interesting news from Apple. The news says that Apple is making a device that looks like a wrist watch and which will have its base on iOS, which is the operating system of Apple's iPhones and iPads. According to the report, the device is to be made with curved glass.

As per the report, the device can be used for mobile payments. The Wall Street Journal separately reported that one person briefed on the effort said Apple discussed such a device with its major manufacturing partner Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, also known as Foxconn, which has been working on some technologies that could be used in wearable devices. The Taiwan-based company has been working toward making more power-efficient displays and its technologies are aimed at multiple Foxconn customers, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing the same person.

Smart watches are not new to us. We have seen it with Sony. But those watches never succeeded in catching the attention of the consumers much. One could be wondering about Apple taking such a step as the whole world is awaiting new Apple device (which is definitely not an iWatch!). But this shows that wearable computing is gonna become the trend of next decade.
