Not that frequently do we hear such a news about an Indian based cell phone manufacturers. This time Micromax is getting it right. To add to this, Micromax is launching its Canvas A116 HD in India today. The device will be available in the official web site for just Rs. 13,990.

Micromax Canvas A116 HD is a Dual SIM phone with so many specifications that you will run blindly for it. The company claims that it might take 5 to 7 days to ship this smartphone. When Micromax announced their Canvas HD A116 last month, the tech world expected it to cost below 15,000/-. The company succeeded in keeping the expectoration of the consumers. It put a tag around the neck of Canvas A116 HD, which is well below the expected price.



Lets recall the specifications of Canvas A116 HD at this situation.The phone has a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display. It has a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor. The device will have a storage capacity of 1GB RAM and 4GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB. The device has Dual SIM as well as Dual cameras. The primary camera on the rear side of the phone is of 8 mega pixel. The secondary front camera, which is helpful in video calling has 2 mega pixel with VGA. The primary camera has an LED flash with night mode and 4x zoom. The smartphone runs on Android 4.1 platform and is powered by a 2000 mAh battery. In addition to the powerful CPU, the Canvas A116 HD has a 5XT PowerVR series GPU also. It has GPS, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
