Sony Xperia SP Launched in India for Rs. 27,500/-

Xperia SP is what we can call the “scaled down version” of Sony's flagship Xperia Z. Though it is a scaled down version, it was really rich in its specs that it made the world wonder where this scaling really took place. For those who can not afford a sky high prized Xperia Z, but still a fan of Xperia, this will be the right choice. The Xperia SP can also be called a latest evaluation from the Xperia S, in the matter of its design. The main difference that the Xperia SP has from the Xperia S is the transparent strip it has at the bottom. The Xperia SP was announced in march, and now, the device is available in India at a price of 27,500 Rupees.



Sony has built the Xperia SP phone with a 4.6 inch display, which has a resolution of 720×1080 pixels. Just like the Xperia ZL, Xperia SP also has a sleek and stylish design. There is a transparent LED light notification bar at the bottom of the device, which is an updated adaptation from the Xperia U. This strip will adjust its colour automatically so that it will blend with the theme or even with the album of the song you are playing. There are options for the users to customise the colour of the notification bar. The phone comes with 4G facility.



Another interesting feature of the Xperia SP smartphone is that it can hook up with Sony's DualShock 3 controller, which will let you to play games using real controls in the place of the on screen controls. No wonder, the game freaks will simply love Xperia SP. There are no extra features or hard wares needed to hook up with the DualShock 3. all that you need is to pair both of the devices with Bluetooth.



Xperia SP will be running with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. It will have enough room for customisation from Sony and also will have applications such as Sony LIV and Sony Music. There will be an internal storage memory of 8GB, which can be expanded using a microSd card.



Just like any other decent smartphone, Xperia SP also comes with dual cameras. The rear camera is of 8 mega pixels resolution. It has Sony’s Exmor RS sensor, which is capable of shooting 1080p videos. There is a VGA front camera, which will be essential for the video calls. For its connectivity, Xperia SP has Bluetooth, NFC, GPS/GLONASS, Wi-Fi and MHL- powered microUSB. The whole device will be powered by a battery of 2370 mAh.
