After Xperia Z, the flagship smartphone of Sony, the company released some scaled down versions like the Xperia SP, Xperia ZL etc. Now, Sony is getting ready to hit the market once again with their new device, dubbed Xperia ZR. The ZR will be another scaled down version of the Xperia Z, but with the water proof feature.
The Sony Xperia ZR has a 4.6 inches display screen with 720p resolution. Sony claims that the new device has waterproof to 1.5 meters (5 feet). As per claims of the company, you can take snaps and videos underwater with Xperia ZR. With the camera of 13MP, you will be able to take photos of HD quality and videos underwater. There is also a dedicated camera button too in Xperia ZR.
Sony Xperia ZR comes with a new display technology named ‘OptiContrast’ panel. The new display removed the gap between the screen and the touch sensor by integrating the sensor on the main panel itself. By doing so, the display has become more slim with more attentive user interface.
According to some rumours, Xperia ZR is the international version of Japan's upcoming Xperia A, which popped in FCC.
