Finally the best of Sony in a Tablet is in India.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is now available in India in all whole sale and retail shops from Wednesday onwards. As an icing on the cake, the company is offering a free leather case along with each Tablet. The company has launched only one variant of the Tablet in India. The version available in India has 3G, Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth connectivities.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z comes with a six month free subscription to Sony Music service. It offers DRM free downloads from Sony's catalog of international and Indian music. Though the Tablet Z is available in Indian shops only from last Wednesday, the device was available in the online markets even before its official launch in India.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z packs a 10.1-inch screen with full-HD display, i.e., 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The Tablet Z is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. The Xperia Z tablet has a 2GB of RAM.
The Unique Selling Point or the USP of the Xperia Tablet Z is its form factor. With a thickness of 6.9mm, the Xperia Z tablet is one of the thinnest tablets available out in the market. Just like the Xperia Z smartphone, the Xperia Z Tablet is also water proof and dust proof. The tablet has 8 mega pixel rear camera and the device comes with a 6,000 mAh battery. The device will be available in only one colour in India- Black.
Sony had announced the Xperia Z Tablet in January 2013. At that time, the company had declared that the device will be available in Japan from spring 2013. The device was also showed in the Mobile World Congress 2013.
