Obviously, it is a cut down or rather a compact version of its big brother- the Galaxy S4.the Mini will be having a display screen of 4.3 inches. It weighs around107g. The smartphone will be having a rear camera of 8 Mega Pixels. It will be having a dual core processor. The price and releasing dates are yet to be revealed by the company. The analysts were expecting that the device will be announced in the month of July. But Samsung is faster than them they announced the device in a pretty good time before that.
The Galaxy S4 Mini will be having qHD Super AMOLED display. Most probably, the device will be supporting most of the main software features of Samsung Galaxy S4. According to the reports, the Mini version will include all the camera features of the big brother. Apps like S Travel will be there in the S4 Mini. Other applications that the Mini will copy from the S4 are, Group Play, S Translator, ChatON, WatchON, S Health, S Voice etc. But some interesting applications like the Smart Scrolls will be missing in the S4 Mini.
The Samsung S4 Mini will be running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's extensive TouchWiz customizations on top. As mentioned above, the smartphone will be having a 1.7GHz dual-core processor. It will be having a RAM of 1.5GB. The company has not yet revealed which chip set will be used in the S4 Mini. But most probably it will be the same Snapdragon 400 chipset, which was used in the Galaxy Mega 6.3 smartphone. There will be an 8GB built in storage memory, which will be expandable up to 64 GB, using the MicroSD card slot. But out of the 8GB storage memory, only 5GB will be available for the users. The hand set will be packing a 1,900mAh battery, which will be removable.
For its connectivity options, the phone will be having LTE connectivity, NFC, 3G etc. But all these depends up on the version, as Samsung will be releasing different versions of the Galaxy S4. There' will be a dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS + GLONASS.
The Galaxy S4 Mini will be coming in two colours – White Frost and Black Mist. There will be 4G LTE, 3G and 3G Dual SIM versions, but there are no information about which version will be available for which countries. All the other details of the phone will be revealed in the upcoming event of Samsung, which is to be held on June 20th of this year, at London. The company will be announcing its latest Galaxy- (Android) and Ativ- (Windows) powered products.
