Acer has launched their latesr smartphone of the year, the Liquid S1. It is the first smartphone from the company, having a 5.7 inch display screen with HD resolution. The Liquid S1 will start shipping in Q3 2013 in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, UK and Germany, followed by Spain and Italy. Most probably, the device will be having a price tag of around 26,000/- Indian Rupees.
The Liquid S1 will be having a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU and 1GB of RAM. It will be having Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It will be available in both single SIM and Dual SIM versions. The Liquid S1 will be packing an 8 MP rear cmera with LED flash light. It will be having a front camera too. For its connectivity options, the device will be having GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and micro USB port.
The phone comes with an internal storage memory of 8GB, which will be expandable up to 32GB using microSD card. It comes with a 2400mAh user replaceable battery. The device is packed with additional features for photo taking, video recording, and editing and creating media. It includes a Wide Front Shot mode that uses the front camera with 88 degree wide viewing angle plus the 24mm lens to capture wider visuals. It also includes DTS powered Studio Sound offering a richer audio experience.
The bigger screen of the Liquid S1 smartphone will be making use of the User Interface, 2-Way Live Screen (screen sharing) and Voice Unlock for launching apps by voice. Liquid S1 is the company's first contribution to the 5 inch screen smartphones. Most probably, the device will be making its entry to the Indian shores too.
