Chinese best mobile phone seller, Huawei launched its flagship smartphone, the Ascend P6. And for your great information, this is the thinnest or the slimmest smartphone launched yet. The device will be available in 3G version in 19 countries by the end of June. The firm has announced that the 4G LTE variant will be in stores by the fourth quarter of 2013.
“The HUAWEI Ascend P6 is a star among smartphones with its industry-leading design, high-quality camera, and intuitive user interface, Huawei’s proprietary Emotion UI. Building on the success of our Ascend P series of fashion smartphones, the HUAWEI Ascend P6 provides unsurpassed technology and a design that is simply stunning,” said Mr. Richard Yu, Chief Executive Officer, Huawei Consumer Business Group.
While launching the device, Huawei had announced that the all new flagship gadget of the company, the Ascend P6 would be competing with the currently peaked smartphones, Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, Sony Xperia Z, and Apple iPhone 5. The firm claims that the Ascend P6 will be notable and will be a milestone in the smartphone market with its class leading design, high quality camera, and UI. Its metal body is really sparkling and will handover more quality to the users.
Even though the firm wants to rival with the top smartphones presently available in the market, its technical specifications aren't ground breaking. What makes it precious is its sleek body measuring 6.18mm thickness.
The Ascend P6 is crafted out displaying a 4.7 inches HD in-cell LCD touch screen with a resolution of 1,280 x 720. Its touchscreen is more responsive now. Having equipped with a new technology MagicTouch, touching becomes sensible even while wearing gloves. Still, it's disappointing that it doesn’t have a full HD screen. Meanwhile, a quad-core processor of 1.5 GHz with 2GB RAM powers the device to run smoother and faster.
The Ascend P6 has an internal storage of 8GB, which can be further expanded upto 32GB via microSD card. The gadget will have a 2000 mAh battery, which is likely to do the job well. Google's Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean will be powering as the Operating System.
More impressively, it is coupled with better cinematography and photography features. Having 8 MP primary camera with LED flash and 5 MP front facing camera, which is first in the world, will provide a stunning experience to photo-video maniacs. It also supports full HD video recording.
Notwithstanding, the official price of the Ascend is uncertain. It is expected to be priced below $600 in the US market. The device is available in 3 attractive colors- Pink, White, and Black.
To start selling by the end of June.
