India's biggest smartphone manufacturer, Micromax Launched their much awaited flagship gadget, the Canvas 4 today. The device is priced at an expected tag of Rs. 17,999.
The Canvas 4 might not be a game changer for those who wished much difference form its predecessor, the canvas HD. However, it is equipped with a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and a class first 5 MP front camera. The device shares the same MT6589 MediaTek quad-core processor that also powers the Canvas HD. It has the same 5-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels.
The gadget has a better 16GB internal storage, while the RAM remains 1GB. Its memory can be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD card. It is run on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean. The flagship device of Micromax comes with a 2000mAh battery. The device is not compatible to 4G.
The Canvas 4 has already got 11,500 units of pre-bookings.

The numbers have been promising with 17.1% smartphone market share in Q1 of 2013 positioning us a clear number two in the category, and we have already moved to 24.3% in April 2013 as per CyberMedia Research," added Mr. Deepak Mehrotra, CEO, Micromax.
