The rumoured smartphone from Sony, the Xperia i1 smartphone, also known as the Xperia Honami, made its spec appearance online, ahead of its official launch or announcement form the company. The smartphone was rumoured to have its launch in the coming IFA in September. But it seems like there will be an unveiling function well before the IFA meeting.
Just like the recently launched Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone, the Xperia Honami will be a camera highlighted smartphone. The smartphone is expected to have a rear camera of 20.7 MP Exmor-RS camera sensor. The powerful camera will be backed up with Sony's G-Lens and the Bionz for Mobile imaging engine. If the rumours are correct, this will be a strong rival to the Lumia 1020. seems like both these camera smartphones will be starting a new trend in the smartphone market.
According to the latest reports, the Honami will behaving a 5 inches 1080×1920 Full HD display screen. It will be having Triluminos and X-Reality technology for providing improved image clarity. there will be a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, along with 2GB RAM. The device will be having an internal storage memory of 16GB, and of course with provision to expand the memory via microSD card slot. Near-field communication (NFC), Mobile High-definition Link (MHL) and Miracast are also believed to be i the package. The Honami smartphone will be using Sony's customised version of the Android Operating System.
Sony seems to have fallen in love with the dust proof and water proof smartphones. The Honami will be having both these qualities, just like that of the Xperia Z smartphone. Though the company has not opened its mouth regarding the release of the smartphone, we strongly believe that the Sony team will be unveiling the device only in the coming IFA, which is to be held on Berlin in September.
