The group has scribbled in their web site that "We are fans of Shri, Narendra Modi, our forthcoming future leader of our great nation India; we are manufacturing latest Android handset dedicated to the IRONMAN of modern India."
The website gives more details of the smartphone too. As per the claims of the heads behind Namo, the smartphone will be having a 5 inch display with Corning Glass 2 support. The device will be running Android operating system, as mentioned above. The device will be having a 1.5 GHz quad core Mediatek MT6589 chipset.
The Namo smartphone will be having a 13 mega pixel camera. The smartphone will be coming in 4 different variants, depending up on the memory storage capacity of the smartphone. There will be two versions, based on the RAM of the smartphone (1GB and 2GB) and two versions based on the internal storage capacity of the smartphone (16GB and 64GB).
There are no official confirmation on the price and the releasing date of the Namo smartphone. As per the announcement of the group, they will be releasing special “Signature Edition” smartphone too. These businesses are rooted in Gujarat and they run a phone business in China. So, there is every possibility that they will be using the skeleton of the Chinese smartphone and will be giving it Indian flesh and blood.
Though the price of the smartphone is not yet released, as per the words of the spokesperson, Anmeet Desai, the initial smartphones from the brand will be having a price tag around 16,000 rupees. The group has plans to launch cheaper versions of this brand at 10,000 rupees. But for the time being, the full concentration will be on this 'Signature edition' it seems.
Other than an exclusive website, the Namo has Face Book page too. Going by the number of likes the page is getting, the device is going to be huge success it seems. The Signature edition of the Namo will be completed by next month ad it will be taken to modi for approval. According to some reliable sources, the Namo smartphone will be coming pre loaded with apps and videos that will highlight the brand Narendra Modi. The company has set up assembling unit in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
