LG has launched its new flagship smartphone, the LG G2 yesterday. The device will be releasing world widely in the coming months. As per the reports, it will be a strong rival to the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone. There are chances that the yet to come Samsung Galaxy Note III and next iPhones also will be its rivals. If all these devices are releasing in the same month, the smartphone market will be turning to a war front again.
There is a major change in the design of the LG G2 smartphone. That is the position of the Volume rocker and the power/lock buttons. Unlike the traditional design pattern, both these buttons are placed below the camera, on the rear side of the smartphone. The explanation by the company for this change is that they have analysed the problems the users having with bigger smartphones. They will have to stretch their hand to the painful extend to operate these two keys, or they have to use both the hands, with this “rear key system”, that problem will be solved. "Moving the main buttons to the back of the phone gives users more control since this place is where individuals' index fingers are naturally (placed)," the company declared in a press release.
The G2 smartphone will be having a 2.26 GHz quad core processor. So, high speed performance is assured. In theory, this processor is said to be more powerful than the octa core processor of the Galaxy S4 smartphone selling in India.
The company claims that they have done enough research on the changing lifestyle of the consumers, and have brought in several changes to suit the changed needs. The bigger design, practical function and the new user interface all proves that the company aims at the real life benefits.
Dr Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications said: “Our definition of innovation today is technology that truly resonates with consumers. We have always listened to and learned from consumers in pursuit of innovation. We took these insights to new heights in developing LG G2, the most exciting and ambitious mobile phone in our company's history."
As per the reports from the company officials, the G2 smartphone will be using dedicated graphics RAM, which would eventually help in getting a better battery life, which will give the G2 smartphone an upper hand over other competitive smartphone of the range.
LG's number one enemy is his neighbour from South Korea, Samsung. It is true that Samsung is way too ahead of LG. But, LG is trying hard for a coming back. The Optimus series shows it. With its G2, we really hope that LG will give nightmares to Samsung.
The key features of LG G2 smartphone are:
