Sony had unveiled their brand new smartphone, the Xperia M in June 2013. Now, the smartphone is available for pre booking at 12,990 Indian Rupees. The smartphone is listed in several online shopping web sites. As per the notifications on these sites, the device will be available from August 18th onwards.
The device has a 4 inch display screen with FWVGA technology. The device has 854×480 pixels resolution, along with a crystal scratch resistant glass. The device has what Sony calls the “OmniBalance” design. As per the claims of the company, this feature gives the device good balance in hand. This will ease up handling the device. There are multi coloured LED illuminations below the screen. We have seen this OmniBalance in Xperia Z, Xperia ZL and also in Xperia Z Tablet.
Xperia M runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. As any mid ranged smartphone, the Xperia M has a dual core 1 GHz Snapdragon SoC processor, along with 1 GB of RAM. The device's storage capacity includes 4 GB internal storage and an external memory, which can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone comes with twin cameras. There is a 5 MP camera on the rear side of the smartphone and a front camera too. The rear camera is accompanied with an LED flash light. The device's connectivity features include GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi- Fi, USB, Bluetooth and GPS connectivities. The device will be available in Black, White, Purple and Yellow colour variations.
