Newkia – New Combination of Nokia and Android

Read here the rumours about Android operated Nokia – dubbed Newkia.

Former Nokia CEO is rumoured to be working on Newkia phones, that is a combination of Nokia model handset and Android OS. The former CEO, Mr. Thomas Zilliacus has found a new brand of smartphones, dubbed Newkia. As per the latest reports we are getting from the Newkia, the company will be producing Nokia model handsets with Android platform. It will be a good news for the Nokia fans, who wanted to bring in Android for their Nokia device.

Ziliacus is said to be busy in the process. He would be hiring ex Nokia employees, who have the interest in combining Nokia and Android. A year ago, there were rumours that Ziliacus had plans to buy the company. Being an employee in Nokia for past 15 years, everybody thought that there is a possibility for the man to own it. He had this plan of tying Nokia up with Android since then. As Microsoft has bought Nokia now, Ziliacus has no other option than starting a new one.

You can expect the new “Newkia” smartphone within a year. If the reports are correct, the head and the team are busy with moulding it. The Newkia will be targeting the Asian market for sure. Ziliacus reportedly said in an interview given to a magazine that the phone will not be releasing under the Newkia brand. They will be naming it with a new name.

The plus point of such a device is that all the limitations of the Windows Phone OS will be eradicated as Android is a much polished OS than the Widows Phone. But, being a new company and new experiment, we can't predict how would the end product be. Well, let's give them a chance guys. Let's wait and see!
