Nokia has announced the successor of the world's best selling Windows smartphone, the Lumia 520, namely the Lumia 525. The gadget comes with updated technical specifications. However, the firm hasn't disclosed the price tag of it.
The Lumia 525 comes with the same 4-inch touchscreen with 800x480 pixels resolution and 235ppi pixel density as that of the Lumia 520. Meanwhile, it is powered by a Dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon S4 processor that is seen in the Lumia 520. However, the Lumia 525 has an improved RAM of 1 GB.
There is no change with the storage capacity too. It has 8GB inbuilt memory and has an option to expand it up to 64GB via microSD card. Moreover, Nokia offers 7 GB SkyDrive storage at zero cost.
The gadget sports a 5 MP rear camera. Unfortunately, flash is still absent in this variant as well. There is no front cam either. Just like its sibling, the Lumia 525 is run by Windows Phone 8 OS.
The Lumia 525 is packed with a 1,430mAh battery that offers talk time of 10.6 hours on 3G network and 17 hours on 2G network.
The device is expected to launch before Christmas season in the market.
