Asus has launched its much awaited Padfone Mini in Taiwan. The two-in-one gadget that transforms from a 4.3 inches smartphone to a 7 inches tablet is priced at NTD 11,900, which is approximately Rs. 25,000.
The mid-ranged smartphone device comes with a 4.3 inches touchscreen with qHD 960x540 pixels of resolution, 256 ppi and IPS with Capacitive Multi touch panel. It's powered by a Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 chipset (4x Cortex-A7 at 1.4GHz, 1GB RAM, Adreno 305). The gadget is run on Android v4.3 Jelly Bean.
The Padfone Mini is coupled with an 8 MP primary camera with LED Flash and a 2 MP secondary camera. Asus has provided 16 GB inbuilt memory and it can be increased up to 64 GB via microSD card. The gadget is held on by a 1500 mAh battery.
The Padfone Mini is Dual SIM variant. Along with that Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and GLONASS boost up the device. It weighs 105 grams.
Meanwhile, the Padfone Station (Pad or tablet) is mated with a 7 inches, Super IPS screen with 1,280 x 800 resolution (216ppi). It weighs 310 grams.
Still, it's uncertain when the Padfone Mini will hit the markets other than Taiwan.
