The South Korean electronics giant, Samsung, has unveiled the biggest Ultra High Definition Television in the world. The 110-inch UHD TV has four times more resolution than that of standard high-definition TVs. This TV has already hit the South Korean market for a whooping $1,50,000 (~ Rs. 93 lakhs).
The 2.6 metres wider and 1.8 metres TV will go on sales in China, the Middle East and selected European territories on Monday. However, the price will differ from place to place.
By launching high-end OLED Televisions last year, LG and Samsung had declared that OLED was the future of Television. But, later the companies realized that making OLED TVs in affordable price tag is hardly possible. Earlier, Sony and Panasonic reportedly decided to end-up their OLED partnership.
So the arrival of Samsung's UHD TV will give a new way to the future of Television Industry. Still uncertain whether this gigantic TV will be launched in India or not.
