Sony to Launch Windows Phone in 2014 under the Vaio Series

The company has contracted with Microsoft to rival Nokia Lumia series devices.

Cheer up! We have a great news for Sony fanatics around the world that the Japanese smartphone company Sony is stepping towards Windows Phone market. More impressively, the Windows powered gadgets will be badged under Vaio brand, the best selling laptop series of the company.



As per reports the negotiations between Sony and Microsoft have been winded up. This will make Sony added in the list of Windows powered devices. The news came out when Microsoft’s Windows Phone Director Mr. Greg Sullivan confirmed that Sony would launch its own WP smartphones.

The Sony WP gadgets are likely to hit this year itself and that's under reputed Vaio's brand name. The contract will boost the business of both companies.

It has been reported that Sony had been looking for another platform other than Google's Android. On the other hand, Microsoft wants to expand the reach of Windows Phone platform everywhere in the world. The California based company can't find a better option than Sony, who has wide business all over the world, to expand the revenue.

However, there is not even a clue till now on what's the name and technical specifications of Son'y upcoming WP smartphone.
