Soon after the launch of the ZTE Axon phone in the US the company has unwrapped two more devices for the customers. The Axon Lux smartphone and the other is the Axon Watch smartwatch under its 'Axon' brand. The smartphone will be priced roughly around Rs. 40,000/-. The pricing of the smartwatch and the availability has not yet been announced by the company. During the launch ZTE has also commented that in the near future they will be releasing the mini version of the smartphone which will be dubbed as Axon Mini. The device is said to be featuring a 5.2 inch Amoled display. Nothing else was commented regarding the mini smartphone.
The ZTE Axon Lux features a 5.5 inch CGS(Continuous Grain Silicon) TFT LCD screen with 2.5D curved display technology. The screen has a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels with a pixel density of 534ppi. The display screen is protected with the new Corning Antimicrobial Gorilla Glass. The device measures 154x75x9.3mm, Axon Lux is equipped with a finger print scanner which can save up to five fingerprints at a time. The fingerprint scanner is made even better as the device also features an eye scanner.
The device is based on a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor which is supplemented with Adreno 430 GPU. ZTE's home UI MiFavor 3.2 is layered on top of Android 5.0.2. On the storage front the device bears a generous 4GB of RAM space and with 128 GB internal storage and an another 128 GB external expandable memory.
The ZTE Axon Lux features a dual rear camera- a 13 MP and a 2 MP with dual LED flash. The rear camera is complimented by an 8MP fornt snapper with an 88- degree wide-angle lens. The rear camera features touch focus, face detection, geo-tagging, panorama and HDR modes. Users can capture 2160p videos at 30 fps.
The connectivity options include GPS, Glonass, Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi direct and 4G LTE( includes Indian network bands as well). Accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, magnetometer and hall sensors are a few of the sensors featured in the device. The Axon Lux bears a 3,000mAh battery. The ZTE’s Smart Voice supports voice translation for English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Thai and Chinese, as well as a command for other new voice control functions, including voice SMS and voice search. The device will be available in Ion Gold and Chromium Silver color options.
