The mobile phone manufacturer Lava, which is based in India is a company that had shown quick expansion since its beginning with professional levels of operations and production of connected devices to suit all categories of customers. Established in 2009 the company has been serving the users with quality devices as well as innovative ones as it follows the principle of “create possibilities” in all their actions. The parent company functions under two brands namely Lava and Xolo. Lava produces a wide range of products including tablets and smartphones. Lava’s vast range of brands includes IRIS series of Android based smartphones, Discover series of Internet experience touch phones, Spark series of premium bar phones and ARC & KKT series of feature-rich budget phones. And thus continuing the saga of the Flair series, the company has added another smartphone to their series- The Lava Flair Z1 at Rs. 5,699/-. The device will be exclusively available via Snapdeal by the end of next week.

News also suggests that Lava is most likely all geared up to release their first Android one device. Most probably the device will be released by July 27th. For those of you who are wondering what an Android One device is, well to put it in simple terms these are smartphones based on a couple of hardware protocols given by Google. These devices are meant to be low-end ones that provide the entire Android experience so much to that of what Nexus phones does. But for now lets see what the today's release of Lava is offering us.

The dual-SIM device runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM space. The Android 5.0 Lollipop based Lava Flair Z1 is a true successor to the Flair P1 and Flair E1 and that too with better upgrades.Lava Flair Z1 also comes with smart gesture controls to use applications from locked screen.

Our View
The lava Flair Z1 is sure enough to raise some eyebrows since there aren't much devices available within the 6000 price tag that offers such features. Android Lollipop 5.0, a quad-core processor, 5 inch display screen and a 2,000mAh battery is too much for this smartphone for this price range. Lava's own subsidiary brand Xolo has launched almost a similar device but with a smaller battery and reduced camera pixels. Moto E(2nd Gen) may however be a possible threat as it offers similar features except for a 4.5 inch IPS LCD display. The price tag is near to that of Flair Z1 as well. Other Android Lollipop smartphones which may give a tough competition to the Lava Flair Z1 are the Spice Dream Uno H (Rs 4,999), Micromax Canvas Spark (Rs 4,999), ZTE Blade Qlux (Rs 4,999), and Karbonn Sparkle V (Rs 4,976)
