Intex Aqua V5: the Spreadtrum powered 3G enabled smartphone at Rs 2835

Intex Aqua V5 will be one of the most inexpensive 3G handsets in India

The domestic smartphone maker Intex has unveiled an entry-level 3G enabled smartphone. The device has been listed in the company's website for a price of Rs. 2,835 and is expected to go on sale in the coming weeks. The Intex Aqua V5 is claimed to be one of the cheapest 3G enabled smartphone that is available in the Indian smartphone market.



The Intex Aqua V5 sports a 3.5 inch HVGA TFT display with a screen resolution of 320x480 pixels. The dimensions of the device comes up to 115.9x62x11.8mm and weighs 100 grams. The available color variants will be Black, Black and Grey, and White.

The handset will be fueled by a 1GHz single-core Spreadtrum processor which is coupled with 256MB of RAM space. The inbuilt storage accounts to 512 MB which can be further expanded to a 32 GB via micro SD card.

The 2 MP rear camera comes with a LED flash. A 0.3 MP front facing camera is also on board. The Android 4.4 Kitkat based handset supports dual-SIM card slots.
