For improved performance the upgraded handset features a better CPU and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Leadcore (L1860C) Cortex-A7 processor. The processor comes bundled with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt-storage which is in contrast to the 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory of the earlier Redmi 2A. A 32 GB of expandable memory is also available in the handset.
