Intex Aqua Glam : Android smartphone for women

Intex Technologies has unveiled Aqua Glam, the latest addition to the Aqua series which is exclusively for women. Priced at Rs 7,690 the handset is studded with Swarovski crystal stones on the rear and the sides. The entry-level smartphone aims to appeal to female smartphone consumers in India with its feminine design. Apart from its design and build, the USP of the phone is its 8MP selfie camera which is equipped with anti-shake technology.



Aqua Glam flaunts a 4.7 inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280x720 pixels and will be available in Pink and Champagne color variants. Based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop the device is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MT processor which is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The 8 GB of internal storage can be further expanded up to 32 GB via a micro SD card. It weighs in at 116.2 grams, and measures 139.3x69x7.4mm.



The 8 MP rear camera is supplemented by an 8 MP selfie camera as well. Camera features include panorama, face beauty mode, live photo mode, gesture capture, smile shot, HDR, face detection, Voice capture, and anti-shake for the front camera.The device comes pre-loaded with several apps including MakeUp app that offers makeup simulation, and makeover effects, Sanjeev Kapoor recipes app, Meditation app, Sashakt app that lets the user set an emergency number, which will send a message with the location of the user in case of uninvited situations, HotKnot feature, ASK ME, Quikr, Newshunt, Clean Master, Myntra, InMobi, Intex service, Opera Mini etc.



Backed by an 1850mAh battery which is rated to deliver a maximum of 180 hours of standby time and 6 hours 30 minutes of talk time.the handset includes the regular connectivity options including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. The smartphone also supports MediaTek's HotKnot connectivity, similar to NFC in terms of application, apart from the Smart Wake feature.
