The Moto X Play flaunts a 5.5 inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The screen is layered with Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 for the extra protection. The dimensions of the device comes up to 148x75x10.9mm and weighs 169 grams. The available color variants will be Black and White with winter White rear. Similar to other Moto device the Moto X Play also flaunts a nano coating for protection against water.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor which is coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Android 5.1 Lollipop based handset supports Moto Voice, Moto Display, Moto Assist and Moto Actions. The Moto Assist lets you interact with the phone via voice commands, set profiles according to locations, along with gesture support such as quick twist of the wrist to launch the cameraapp, Moto chop feature to launch the flashlight etc.
The most attractive feature will be the 21 MP rear camera which comes equipped with f/2.0 aperture and a CCT(Color Correlated Temperature)flash wirh dual-LED modules. The options included in the rear sensor are Phase Detect Auto Focus, HDR, Panorama, night mode, burst mode, 4X digital zoom, drag to focus and exposure. The company has launched the dual-SIM variants of the handset in India, supporting Nano SIM cards. On the connectivity front the handset has a dual 4G nano SIM card configuration, Wifi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS. The dual-SIM handset ropes in a 3,630mAh battery which the company claims to deliver up to 48 hours of mixed usage time. Being equipped with the Quick Charge feature the handset will be able to deliver up to 8 hours of usage with 15 minutes of charging. An additional Turbo charger can also be purchased which will be costing you around 1K.

The Moto X Play has packed in a lot of specs at this price tag. The 21 MP rear camera and the 3,630mAh battery is the most talked about features of the handset. The expandable memory up to 128 GB will be a good deal for power users. Not much is available about the performance of the handset. But the specs as such looks impressive.
