Samsung Galaxy Core Prime VE launched for Rs. 8,600

Samsung has launched the new value edition variant of its Galaxy Core Prime smartphone in India. Bearing a price tag of Rs. 8,600 the handset has already been listed on the company's Indian e-store. At the start of this month Samsung had launched another entry level smartphone- Galaxy J2 which was priced at Rs 8,490/- The handset which was the successor to the Samsung Galaxy J1 was developed at the Samsung's R&D facility in India.



The Galaxy Core Prime VE sports a 4.5 inch WVGA TFT display with a screen resolution of 480x800 pixels. The handset adorns a matte finish body which is complimented by the metal sides. The dimensions measures up to 130.8x67.9x8.8mm. The available color variants will be White, Grey and Silver.



The handset will be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor which will be coupled with 1 GB of RAM space. The meager 8GB of internal storage can be further expanded to a massive 128 GB via a micro SD card. Based on Android 4.4 KitKat the handset flaunts a 5 MP autofocus rear camera and a 2 MP front snapper. Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and 3G are the included connectivity options.



Backed by a 2,000mAh battery the handset comes equipped with an accelerometer and proximity sensor. The battery is further supported by an Ultra Power Saving mode that can guarantee up to one and half day of standby time even with just 10 percent of the battery life.
