Xiaomi Mi 4c: an ideal flagship for $204

Xiaomi has launched the Mi 4c for China which sports a complete unibody polycarbonate shell just like the design of Mi 4. The smartphone manufacturer is offering incredible specs as seen in high end phones like the LG G4 , for this low price tag of $204. This is not the first time Xiaomi decided to feature a high-end SoC in an entry-level device. The Redmi Note 2 Prime , launched earlier this year was powered by MediaTek's Helio X10 SoC, which was earlier seen in HTC One M9 . The handset will be launched in two storage variants: 2GB of RAM and 16 GB storage priced at $204 which is approximately Rs.13,500 and a 3GB RAM variant with 32 GB storage for a price of $235 which is approximately Rs.15,500. The Xiaomi Mi 4C is China only smartphone.



The other noted features includes a 5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The dimensions of the handset measures up to 138.1x69.6x7.8mm and weighs 132 grams. The available color variants are Black, Blue, Orange, Pink, and White colours. The display comes with two varied options of a Sunlight display and the night reading mode. With the Sunlight display it will be comfortable and easy for you to read even under direct sunlight. The Double Tap feature wakes up the screen on tapping twice.




Xiaomi has somehow managed to fit in the best processors available in the market. The handset is powered by a 64-bit hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8GHz. The two major changes over the Xiaomi Mi 4i are a new powerhouse in the form of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 which is similar to the same six-core chip powering LG's G4 and the nee Moto X and the second one being an improved 13-megapixel camera sensor with phase-detection autofocus. The 13 MP rear sensor comes equipped with Sony IMX258 or a Samsung S5K3M2 sensor. The 5MP front snapper comes with 85-degree wide angle lens and a self timer.




Based on Android 5.0 which is layered with MIUI on top the handset ropes in a USB Type-C port instead of a micro-USB. The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 3.080mAH battery which supports Quick Charge 2.0. As the device features an Infrared sensor, it helps to act as a remote for various electronic appliances.
