The Meizu Pro 5 sports a 5.7 inch super Amoled display with a screen resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The screen has been layered with Corning’s Gorilla glass 3 for protection. The available color variants for the handset are Grey, Silver, Black and Golden. Under the hood, the Pro 5 is powered by a Samsung Exynos 7420 octa-core processor (quad-core 2.1GHz Cortex-A57 + quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53) coupled with Mali T760 MP8 GPU. The built-in storage can be expanded via microSD card which can be placed instead of the second SIM(Hybrid SIM). It measures 156.7x78x7.5mm and weighs 168 grams.
Based on Android 5.1 Lollipop which runs on Flyme 5UI, the smartphone supports dual Nano-SIM cards and also supports 4G LTE on both the cards. On the imaging front, the camera packs in a 21.6MP rear camera with Sony IMX 230 CMOS sensor, f/2.2 aperture, and dual-tone flash. The camera app comes loaded with the regualr options including Blue glass filter and features burst mode, Panorama, and packs both phase detection autofocus focusing and laser focusing. A 5 MP front snapper with a f/2.0 aperture is also on board. The company has also been teasing a brand new baseband modem, which also offers improved call quality, and VoLTE functionality.
The handset is backed by 3050mAh battery and features mCharge 2.0 technology that is said to provide up to 65 percent charge in just 30 minutes. Another highlight of the Meizu Pro 5 is that it comes packed in with the revolutionary USB Type-C port. The connectivity options includes 4G LTE (TD-LTE / LTE-FDD) / 3G HSPA+ , WiFi 802.11 ac/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB Type-C port.

The Meizu Pro 5 with its all metal body sports almost the same features as several of the earlier released Meizu handsets. The physical home button embeds a finger print scanner as well. The company claims that the improved finish of the buttons on the phone will ensure a better tactile feel. Meizu has also said that the Flyme 5 is faster than MIUI for app loading, and offers 11 percent better battery life than the earlier version of Flyme 4.5.
