Three affordable 4G smartphones from Micromax

Micromax on Tuesday has unwrapped three new budget 4G smartphones in India- the Canvas Blaze 4G, Canvas Fire 4G and the Canvas Play 4G. The Canvas Blaze 4G and the Canvas Fire 4G is priced at Rs.6,999 whereas the Canvas Play 4G bears a price tag of Rs.12,499. Micromax has partnered with Airtel to offer an introductory offer of 4G double data for a period of six months for its 4G range of smartphones. All three devices are based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.



The Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G sports a 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS display with a screen resolution of 480x854 pixels. The handset will be power-driven by a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes equipped with 8GB of built-in storage which can be further expanded to a 32 GB via a micro SD card.

A 5MP rear autofocus camera with LED flash is on board which is complimented by a 2 MP front-facing camera. Along with 4G the device supports 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. A 2,000mAh battery provides juice to the Canvas Blaze for up to 220 hours of standby time and up to 6 hours of talk time. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor are also spotted in the device.

Micromax Canvas Fire 4g

The Micromax Canvas Fire 4G also bears the same spec as that of the Canvas Blaze 4G except for the processor and the battery. Under the hood, the Canvas Fire 4G is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MTK6735 processor clocked at 1GHz, and is backed by a slightly lower 1850mAh battery.

On the hand the Micromax Canvas Play 4G seems to offer better specs in contrast to the other two models. Of course it is priced more as well. The handset bears a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The display has been layered with Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 for extra protection. The Canvas Play is backed by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (unknown) clocked at 1.2GHz, clubbed with 2GB of RAM. A 16 GB of inbuilt storage is also on board. Drawing its juice from a generous 2,820mAh battery the handset sports a 13 MP autofocus rear camera and a 5MP front-facing snapper for video chats and selfies.
