It was last month that Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and now the company is behind the next generation Galaxy S series- the Galaxy S7. The South Korean tech giant usually introduces the premium S series during the annual Mobile World Congress which happens in February or early March. But speculations tells us that the handset will be officially unveiled in January 2016 and will go on sale by February 2016.
Apparently sources says that this flagship smartphone will be offered with two variants. One sporting a flat display and the next one with a dual-edge curved display. Canada, China, Europe, Korea, India and US are the regions where the handset will be initially heading to. Samsung's existing markets too will be getting the flagship.
According to reports Samsung will be running a test with both Snapdragon 820 SoC and Exynos 8890 or Exynos M1 SoCs with custom CPU cores for the Galaxy S7. The display screen will sport a 5.7 inch one with a screen resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. The device will be running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with 4GB RAM space and 64 GB internal memory. The 16 MP rear camera will be complimented by a 5 MP front snapper.
The previous year we have witnessed Samsung falling of the market edge with successive failures from it offerings. But when the company released the Samsung Galaxy J5 and the Galaxy J7 they seemed to be recovering from the lost market share. Soon Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus were rolled out to keep its lead on the Phablet range of smartphones. Samsung seems to be building further on the success of its current handsets and is geared up to soon release the Galaxy S7.
