Google Unveils Android 4.1 and Nexus 7 Tablet

Worlds number one conglomerate and the search engine giant, Google unveiled its latest version of Android Operating System, 4.1 Jelly Bean in the annual developer conference held in San Francisco California. Hugo Barra, Googles director of product management introduced Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean to the e-world. The Jelly Bean is updated with 6,00,000 android apps and a huge number of features.

Android 4.1

Jelly Bean is considered to be the fastest, smoothest and most responsive Android version pioneered yet. Features such as Vysnc Timing for consistent frame rate, Triple Buffering for perfect rendering and Synchronizing Touch for a least finger effort make Jelly Bean the most perfect mobile OS yet.



Googles Nexus 7 tablet is the first device that runs in Jelly Bean. The tablet has a stunning 7 inch display with an HD resolution of 1280x800. The display is protected by scratch resistant Corning glass. Nexus was built under the manufactury of ASUS. The tab is run with a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor. For bettering graphics and resolution, a 12-core GPU is mated with it.

Jelly Bean

Nexus 7 lacks a rear camera. Still, a 1.2 MP front facing camera certifies its ability as a tablet pc. The 4325 mAh battery assures 9 hours of HD video playback, 10 hours of web browsing,10 hours of e-reading and 300 hours of standby. It has a memory of 1 GB RAM which makes things faster. Moreover, it comes with optional memory of 8 and 16 GB internal storage.

Nexus 7 is priced at $199. However, Nexus 7 is not yet available in India.
