Japanese electronic herculean, Sony Mobile Communications AB acquired the whole share of the Swedish telecommunication company, Ericsson. It was on October 1, 2001 the joint venture between Sony and Ericsson was founded. Under their consortium, the company launched a lot of smartphones those showcased a new pattern of smartphoning to the world. Being one of the top electronic device manufactures, Sony realized its standby and decided to go ahead lonely in the future. It is estimated that, €1.05 billion has been transacted to the account of Ericsson as per the acquire strategy.
Meanwhile, Sony launched its first independent cellphone, Xperia S smartphone. It comes under it smartphone flagship Xperia NXT series. “Experience everything in HD,†quoted in the official page of Xperia S. The company already has 19 Xperia smartphones in the India market and 3 upcoming mobiles – Xperia miro, Xperia ion and Xperia tipo dual are to be launched soon.
