Here we have the perfect opponent for Samsung Galaxy S4 and LG Optimus G2, the DLX. In US markets, HTC DLX is known as HTC Droid DNA and as HTC J Butterfly in Japan. The DLX is also called as Deluxe. The flagship smartphone of HTC is expected to be priced around Rs. 35,000. In order to make a direct competition, the Taiwanese consortium will be launching the DLX in India by May 2013 when the Galaxy S4 and the Optimus G2 are supposed to be unveiled.
The DLX (Deluxe) is run by a Google's much featured operating system, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with HTC Sense. The gadget is powered by a Qualcomm® APQ8064 Quad-core 1.5 GHz, MDM9615M mobile processor and 2 GB RAM. Keyboard is blessed by Virtual QWERTY.
A 5-inch super LCD3 touchscreen with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels makes the DLX a Phablet. The Full HD 1080p display is protected by Gorilla Glass 2. An 8 MP primary camera with LED flash and a 2.1 MP secondary camera do their job quiet fabulously.
With a dimension of 141 x 70.5 x 9.73 mm, the DLX weighs only 140 grams. The Phablet is backed up by a 2020 mAh Li-ion fixed battery. Well, it comes with an internal storage of 16 GB. Unfortunately, there is no option to expand memory (no memory card slot).
Certainly, the launch of the Galaxy S4, the Optimus G2, the DLX and Blackberry 10 OS smartphones will be something more than to cherish for all gadget maniacs around the world.
