Samsung, who stepped into the genre of android smartphones 3 years back, has now crossed their Smartphone sales over 100 million, among which, 40 million belong to Galaxy SIII, 40 million to Galaxy SII and the rest 20 million to Galaxy original S series. Till the month of November, the selling of Galaxy SIII was only 30 million. The rest 10 million phones were sold within just two months, showing the boost. Samsung broke off this news through a Flickr post, in which they have disclosed that Galaxy SIII is currently selling at a rapid rate.
Samsung had released their début smartphone in May 2010,when Apple was enslaving the market with its iPhones. From then onwards, the market witnessed the epic competition between Apple and Samsung. Soon surpassing Apple iPhones, Samsung phones gathered momentum in sales in various countries.
For the past few months, the world has seen the shooting up in the sales of Galaxy phones, stepping above Apple iPhone5, owing much to their strategic marketing tactics. Galaxy has achieved this 100 million sales milestone within three years where it took Apple four years to attain the same.
As the new year breaks through, all eyes are falling to Samsung, expecting an announcement regarding a new bloom- Galaxy SIV. Though the representatives are close-mouthed about it, the techworld sees it as a pre-meditated silence before the bang.
