Nokia Lumia 925 Preview

Nokia Lumia 925 has been announced. Read here to know its expected features.

Yet another Lumia smartphone is announced- the Lumia 925. Nokia seems to be very strategic in releasing their phones. With each Lumia device, they try to bring in something new. That is what the people expect too. The reliability in the Nokia products is the major thing that backs up their coming back to the smartphone market. Nokia Lumia 925 has been announced. Though there are some similarity between Lumia 925 and 928, the Lumia 925 has an upper hand above the other. It will be having a metal design. Lets check what are the features of Lumia 925.

Display:

Nokia Lumia 925

The Nokia Lumia 925 will be having a display of 4.5-inches. This screen size is more or less similar to that of the Lumia 928 and Lumia 920. the display screen will be made of OLED technology. The ClearBlack display technology of Nokia will be executed in this smartphone too. That means, the richer colour experience and clarity will be assured. The display screen will be having a resolution of 1280×768-pixels, which is again, the same as the Lumia 928 and Lumia 920. We agree that it will be a crispy display without much visible pictures, but Nokia could have brought in some changes here so that the Lumia 925 will be different from its brothers and sisters. Even it would have been the new flagship phone. However, with a display clarity of 1280×768-pixels, we can not announce that it is a poor display. Of course it is an above average display.

Design:

There had been so many rumours that Nokia Lumia 925 will be having metal body. As it is a Nokia product, and as all the Lumias have the plasticky body, nobody seemed to have taken that rumour for grated. But now, it seems like the rumour has been right. Lumia 925 has metal as its core. Rumors have been circling for months now that Nokia has been toying with the idea of using metal in its phones. Those rumours, it seems, were bang on the money as the 925 is built with metal at its core. The chassis (the skeleton) of the phone and the edges of the handset are made of metal.

When we say that Lumia has metal in its design, we do not mean that the device is entirely metal build. No. The Lumia 925 has a poly carbonate back plate. If the device has been fully made of a metal, the premium look it will have would have been a strong rival to HTC One ad iPhone 5. here too, we expected more.

Of course the current design of the Lumia 925 gives it a stylish and dignified look. The metal edging seems to be a very good idea. The back panel doesn't give much flex when you press on it, making it feel much more solid and secure.

Nokia Lumia 925
Operating System:

Like any other Lumia phone in the series, Lumia 925 also has Windows 8 for phone operating system. The large tile icons – the live tiles – as Nokia calls it- will be waiting in the home screen to welcome you.

One disadvantage of the Windows 8 OS is that it is poorly understocked. The applications available in it are far low than the other operating systems.

CPU:

The Lumia 925 is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor. It is the same in the Lumia 928 and Lumia 920. it is true that Nokia should be moving on to the quad core processors soon. But we can not hide the fact that the interface of the Lumia 925 is really fast and crisp that you will forget about the quad cores for some minutes.

Camera:

Lumia 925 has dual cameras. It has a primary rear camera of 8.7 mega pixels resolution. Nokia claim that they have taken measures to solve the low light dull picture problem. There are some new camera softwares too in Lumia 925. one of the main application among them is the SmartCam application. It is somewhat like the burst mode in HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4. This application will allow you to take burst of 10 photos. You will be able to edit these pictures in to an action series, or you can change the faces, or choose the best photo from it and save.

There is a 1.2 mega pixel front camera too in Lumia 925, which will be helping you in video calling and in taking self portraits.

Memory:

The Lumia 925 will be having a RAM of 1GB. The internal storage capacity of the phone is a bit disappointing. The Lumia 925 will be having only 16GB of internal storage. We know that it is really poor, when there are possibilities that the device might come with no sd card slot. If there are no sd card slots, the memory will not be enough for anything.

Nokia Lumia 925

Battery:

The device will be powered by a 2,000mAh battery. The talk time, standby time and Audio/Video play times are not yet revealed by the company. We can have a judgement on them only after the official announcement of these.

Colours:

The Nokia Lumia will be available in three different colours- Black, White and Silver colours. white and silver.
