2013 has been a very productive year as far as the smartphone market is concerned. We have crossed half of the year and there had been numerous releases and launches so far. The interesting fact is that, there is a long list still waiting. The list is full of smartphones from major cell phone manufacturing companies. Those devices are getting ready in their cocoon. Soon they all will be emerging. We have picked top 10 smartphones from the upcoming list. Let us go through them first and decide which one will be the most anticipated one. Here comes the list:



10.LG Optimus L4 II:

Its only very recently that the flagship smartphone or rather phablet from LG family – the Optimus G Pro released in India. The device had been available in the other parts of the world. Just that it made its entry to the Indian shores only very recently. As the G Pro is a bigger device, both in size, specs and price, the world is waiting for the next device from the company.

LG Optimus L4 II

As per the latest rumours, the next device from LG would be the Optimus L4 II. The device will be running on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) Operating System. The device will be having a 1000 MHz Cortex-A9 Processor. That means improved speed and performance rate. The phone will be providing good connectivity features to make sure that you are always connected with your dear ones. The device will be powered by a strong Li-Ion 1700 mAh battery, which will be providing adequate life for the smartphone. There are no rumours about the price tag of the smartphone. But we expect a price tag of around 20,000/- rupees for this smartphone.

9. LG Optimus L4 II Dual:

As the name indicates, the Optimus L4 II Dual will be the Dual SIM version of the LG Optimus L4 II smartphone. Other than the difference in the SIM capacity, there will not be any change in the spec list, we guess.

8.Sony Xperia Z Ultra:

There is no doubt that the Xperia Z smartphone has been the best smartphone Sony ever produced. It had released a while ago, and still it is a hot device. The huge success of the smartphone gave the company enough courage to dare for other devises like the Xperia SP, Xperia ZR etc. The upcoming device from the company under the Xperia series will be the Xperia Z Ultra smartphone.

Just like the Xperia Z smartphone, the Xperia Z Ultra also will be waterproof. It will be running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Operating System. It will be having 2.2 GHz, Qualcomm ultra-fast Snapdragon 800 SoC processor. The Z Ultra will be packing a 6.4 inch Full HD Triluminous display. It will have dual cameras too. There will be an 8MP camera on the rear side of the smartphone and a 2MP front camera on the front side of the smartphone. The phone will be having connectivity features like 4G LTE and NFC. With 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory, the device will be powered by a 3000 mAh battery. As the spec list is this rich, we expect a rich price tag too. Most probably the device will be coming with a price tag of 48,000/- rupees.

7.LG Optimus GK:

The next upcoming device is again from the LG family. This time it is the Optimus GK. This device will be running on Android 3.1.2 Jelly Bean Operating System. Announced in April 2013, the device is expecting a release in the second half of the year. The device will be featuring a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. The processor will be backed up by 2GB RAM.

LG Optimus GK

The smartphone will be packing a 5 inches IPS full HD display. The device will be having a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP front camera. There will be 16 GB internal storage memory and external memory, expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card. It will be having connectivity features like 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi and 3G. We expect a rich price tag of 40,000/- rupees for this smartphone.

6.HTC Desire Q:

HTC is another brand which can not be ignored, when it comes to smartphones. The HTC One is still the best and fastest smartphone available in the market, fighting shoulder to shoulder with Samsung Galaxy S4. The next upcoming smartphone from the company is the Desire Q. The device will be having a 4 inch WVGA display screen with 480×800 pixels resolution, and is powered with a 1GHz single core processor. There will be a 512MB RAM. The trademark design of the HTC can be seen in the Desire Q smartphone. The whole device will be powered by a 1650mAh battery.

The device has only one camera. The 5MP primary camera is situated on the top of the rear side of the smartphone. The device has 4GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. The phone will be having all the connectivity features.

5.ZTE Geek:

This is a Chinese manufactured device. The famous cell phone manufacturer from China, the ZTE has already announced their upcoming handset. Dubbed the ZTE Geek, the phone comes with interesting features. It will be having a screen size of 5 inch display, with 720×1280 pixels resolution. It will be packing a 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core processor, which will be backed up with 1GB RAM. The device will be having 8GB internal storage memory. The phone will be running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

ZTE Geek

The ZTE Geek comes with twin cameras. There will be an 8MP rear camera and a 1MP front camera. The phone's connectivity features include 3G, Wi- Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, wireless charging etc. The phone will be powered by a 2300mAh battery.

4.HTC Desire L:

There is yet another smartphone coming from the HTC, the HTC Desire L. Most probably, this would be a mid ranged smartphone. The device will be having a 4.3 inches Super LCD2 display with 480×800 pixels resolution. It will be having a 1GHz dual core processor, backed up with 1GB RAM. The phone will be having an internal storage capacity of 4GB, which can be expanded via microSD card.

HTC Desire L

The company has not yet revealed which version of Android OS will it be using. The phone has a 5MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash light. The Desire L smartphone will be powered with an 1800mAh battery.

3.BlackBerry R10:

After its Z10 and Q10, the next device from BlackBerry is R10. It will be a pocket friendly smartphone, with qwerty key pad. As per the claims of the company, you will be more than satisfied with the features of this smartphone. There will be a 5MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. The 3.1 inch display screen will be having a resolution of 720×720 pixels. With BlackBerry OS, the device will be featuring in Dual SIM mode.

The R10 will be packing all the connectivity options, making sure that you will always be connected with your dear ones. The smartphone will be powered by an 1800 mAh battery.

2.Nokia Lumia 1020:

Code named Nokia EOS, Lumia 1020 had been there in the rumour pages for long. Putting an end to it, the company finally announced in in July 2013. the 41MP PureView camera is the main attraction of the smartphone. The Lumia 1020 is bundled with so many interesting features that the anticipation level of the smartphone is really high.

The smartphone packs a 4.5 inch AMOLED WXGA screen with a resolution of 1280×768 Pixels. It will be running Windows Phone 8 OS. There will be a Dual-core 1.5 GHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon™ S4 processor, which will be assisted by 2GB RAM. As there is 32GB of internal storage, the device has no provision for expanding the memory. It will be powered by a BV-5XW 2000 mAh battery, which offers talk time of 19.1 h (2G) & 13.3 h (3G).

1.Apple iPhone 5S:

This would be the most anticipated smartphone of the year. It had been the Samsung Galaxy S4, but with its release, the way is clear for Apple iPhone 5S. The expected price cut and the rectification of the drawbacks spotted in the iPhone 5 are the main reason behind this anticipation. The company has not announced any detail regarding the iPhone 5S so far. So, there are only rumours about the phone. This uncertainty and vagueness are the main reason for the increased anticipation level. We will have to wait for the official announcement to know about the specs of the iPhone 5S.
