The Lumia 625 is said to be a smartphone which will fall rightly in between theLumia 620 and the Lumia 720 smartphones, both in the case of features and price tag. The company has announced the device and the pricing details are not yet out. The specifications are revealed by the company, assessing which, the fans can assume the possibly destiny of the smartphone.

As the specifications are revealed by the company, we think it is safe to go for an early preview of the smartphone. Read here the preview of the features of Nokia Lumia 625 smartphone.

Nokia Lumia 625

Design:

Keeping in mind that the device will be coming with a price tag lower than the Lumia 925, its really very good that the device will be coming with a premium design, which is more or less like that of the 925. with a measurement of 133.25×72.25×9.15mm, the device is certainly pocket friendly. You might feel it a bit heavy at 159 g, but it will add to the premium feel. The back cover of the device is inter changeable. These vibrant colours will add a new spirit to your day for sure.

Display:

The screen features of Lumia 625 resembles that of the 925 too. It has a display screen of 4.7 inches WVGA with 199 ppi. But the device is missing the protective Gorilla Glass covering. Which means, the device will be prone to finger prints, scratches and dust. That is a sad thing.

OS:

The Lumia 625 is a Windows Phone 8 smartphone. The other software pre installed in this device are, the Nokia HERE maps, which will be useful for in-car and on-foot mapping, as per the claims of the company. The Windows Phone 8 is a nice operating system with a great social network integration.

CPU and Memory:

Comparing with the Lumia 925, the processor of the 625 is a scaled down version. It has a 1.2 GHz dual core processor. The processor is accompanied with a 512 of RAM, 8GB internal storage memory and an external memory, which is expandable up to 64 GB using a micro SD card.

Taking in to consideration the combo of the processor and RAM, there are every chances for the smartphone to be a bit sluggish than the siblings.

Camera:

The Lumia 625 has a 5 mega pixel rear camera with the support of an LED flash. Just like the other Lumia smartphones, the device has a physical shutter button on the right side of the phone, which makes snapping easier. There is a VGA front camera too.

The latest camera feature additions by the company, like the new burst mode, which allows the user to remove an unwanted/moving object from a scene and also to select the best photo from the group, etc. are also installed in the Lumia 625 smartphone too.

But the camera performance is only average. There is no stunning or spectacular features. The picture clarity also would likely be average.

Internet and connectivity:

Lumia 625 would be the cheapest Nokia Lumia smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity for sure. But, there is no NFC connectivity. And also it lacks a Compass too. That means, apps like City Lens can not be used. But on the positive side, the device do have GPS connectivity.

Verdict:

With so many Windows Phone smartphones out there in the market, the Lumia 625 will have to face tougher competition fro its siblings itself. Nowadays the smartphone market is getting that much competitive that a buyer who steps in to a mobile shop will be confused about which phone should e choose. If there is any user who wants a 4G LTE smartphone from a branded company at a heap rate, Lumia 625 will be the choice for only him.

Nokia Lumia 625

Pros:

Cheaper smartphone with 4G, LTE.
Big screen.

Cons:

Poor RAM.
Average camera.
