Read here the detailed review of Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 smartphone.

After the Galaxy Note series, the biggest screened smartphone form Samsung – that is the Mega 6.3 smartphone. With its bigger display and attractive features, Mega 6.3 has already become the favourite of so many users. Read here a complete review of Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 smartphone.

Design:

Are you that kind of a person with a small and pretty hand? Then, you should forget about using the Mega smartphone with one hand. The Mega smartphone deserves the title “giant”. 6.3 inches is a very close screen size to that of an average sized tablet. Though you will be able to hold the phone with one hand, typing a message or an email will be out of the scenario. You will need both your hands for it, just like that in the case of a tablet.

Though it is fat, it is flat too. But that doesn't mean it is light weighted. The device is pretty heavy that no one will fancy carrying it around in his pockets for a whole day. Do you do that with your tablet? Same here.
The metallic edging, the home buttons etc are the same as the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone. In design, there are so much of resemblance between the two. If you like the design of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, You will like this one too.

Display:

As the name indicates, the Mega smartphone has a very big display screen. The 6.3 inches display screen has a resolution of 1280×720 pixels with 233 ppi pixel density. Comparing with the high ppi of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, (441 pi), you will feel that the screen does not have that much clarity.

But if you are not that much conscious, you will hardly notice the pixels. You will have to watch keenly for that. Try reading novels and lengthy pdf files like ebooks in the Mega smartphone, you will realise that the screen is not that sharp either. The screen is good for gaming and watching movies. Are you a regular traveller? Then own a Mega and enjoy movies during your boring journey to the office.

Operating System:

The Samsung Galaxy Mega uses Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. As the latest version of Google's mobile operating system has been announced, we can expect an upgrade soon. Android OS has been the OS for all the smartphones of the company. So, there, you will not be finding out any uniqueness or novel things. The OS and the interface is as common as any other Samsung smartphone from the company.

But, there are some adaptations the company has brought in for the Mega 6.3 smartphone. The home screen will rotate itself when the smartphone held in the landscape mode. We have seen this feature in tablets, and not in smartphones. Samsung's dual apps tool is there in the Mega, which will let you run two applications at the same time. So, you can open the browser, browse something and copy that too your note. Cool, no?

Storage:

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 smartphone comes with a 1.5 GB RAM and an 8 GB internal storage capacity. But, get ready to get disappointed, only 5 GB will be available for the users. The rest goes for pre installed applications. On the pros side, there is a microSD cad slot, which lets you expand the memory up to 64 GB. Are you an ardent game layer? Then get ready for another disappointment. You can save only music, photos and videos to the card, not apps. That means, you can't save games to it. How sad!

CPU and Performance:

There is a 1.7 GHz dual core processor inside the Galaxy Mega smartphone. There is not a whooping quad core. But, dual core is cool. It is swift without a room for any sluggishness. But heavy apps and speedy multitasking will make it a bit stressed, which is quite understandable.

Though the smartphone carries out the everyday tasks quite nicely, when it comes to gaming, the crispiness is missing. We didn't expect that from the mega, as it was obvious that the bigger screened smartphone will be used for gaming.

Camera:

There is an 8 MP camera on the rear side and a 1.9 MP camera on the front of the Samsung Galaxy Mega smartphone. Both the cameras perform quite well. The pictures are good, bright and lovely. Even in the bright sunlight, pictures showed accurate exposure. Though the low light pictures are satisfactory, low light videos are not that much perfect. The cameras of the Mega smartphone will be enough for a normal user.

Battery:

There is a massive 3200 mAh battery inside the Mega smartphone. No wonder, the bigger the screen is, the more will be the battery consumption. With a dual ore processor, the battery life is exceptionally yet unsurprisingly good. One good thing is that, if you could control your use, you can have a two days long charging free use with the Mega smartphone.

Conclusion:

If you are looking for a smartphone which you can pocket, in its literal sense, better go search another one with smaller aspects. Samsung Galaxy Mega is big and huge. You can't slide it in your pocket. If you crave for a huge screened smartphone, go for Mega, as it has good screen, good camera and an exceptionally good battery life.
