Moto X to hit stores in August

Moto X is rumoured to have Google Now app always on.

The next flagship smartphone from Motorola, the Moto X, has been in the rumour pages for a pretty long time by now. According to the latest rumours, the Moto X smartphone will be releasing in the month of August. We know that, this time, Google is there alongside with the Motorola for building the smartphone. As per the latest leaked video, the Moto X will be having an always – on Google Now application.



The latest video does not show any details of the design of the smartphone. It just hints that the design of the Moto X smartphone will be more or less like that of the Nexus smartphones. The main attraction of the video is the Google Now app, which is a powerful version of Google's voice and command service. In the video, the app seems to be always on. You just need to open the app by activating the activating phrase or command. In the video, the activating command is “Okay Google Now”. The user will just have to utter these words to the phone. No unlocking or nor touch is necessary for opening or launching the app.

Yet another feature of the Moto X is the notification system, along with the usual LED notification alerts in every Android device. Usually, there would be a blinking light to indicate a notification. But in the Moto X smartphone, the notification will be appearing on the screen, even if it is locked, in the form of an icon, related to the mode of notification.

Another interesting feature of the smartphone is that the phone supports so many motion sensoring apps like the camera. The camera of the phone can be opened by just twisting the wrist holding the smartphone. This will launch the camera app. There is no dedicated shutter button for the camera. The user can tap anywhere on the screen to take a picture. Multi tapping and holding will lead to take multiple pictures, somewhat like that of in the burst mode.

The phone will be available in Black and White colour combinations. As per the rumours, the device will be available in the stores from the month of August this year. Earlier, the rumour mill had set September as the releasing month for the smartphone. But, as the video shows a more or less complete smartphone, the rumour mill pre pond the date to August 2013.

Recently, the company offered a special feature of customizing the backplate of the smartphone. The company offered the users to choose the back plate for the smartphone. They an even request for engraving the backside of their piece of smartphone. The buyers can choose some symbols or names or phrases to be engraved on the rear side of their hone and customize it to the maximum.

The Moto X smartphone is rumoured to pack a 720p display, along with a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, latest version of the Android OS at the time of its release, 10 MP “Clear Pixel” rear camera, and a 2 MP front camera.
