As the IFA 2013 nears, more and more rumours are getting out from the rumour mill. Rumour mongers have now started talking about the next flagship smartphone from Samsung, the successor of Galaxy S4, the Galaxy S5. Though there are no official confirmation about the Galaxy S5, rumour mill is busy spinning. As there are no other possible options, let's call the expected next generation smartphone as the Galaxy S5.
Recently a South Korean web site had reported that the Galaxy S5 will be coming with a 16 MP camera. As it is a news straight from the place where Samsung comes from, there are chances for it to be true. The Samsung Galaxy S4 had only a 13 MP camera. If the rumours are correct, the next Galaxy S device will be providing a more rich camera experience than the S4.
There are rumours that Samsung is trying for a metal bodied design patent. If they becomes successful in getting one, the design of the new Galaxy S device will altogether be a different one. The screen of the new S5 is said to be shatter proof, a strong rival to the water/dust proof screens of the Xperia smartphones.
The camera option of the S5 is rumoured to have Optical image stabilization feature too. The devices that has this feature are Lumia 1020, Lumia 925, Lumia 920 , HTC One and LG G2 smartphones. The upcoming smartphone from Sony, the Xperia Z1 or the Honami is also rumoured to have optical image stabilization.
As Samsung has been increasing the screen size of the Galaxy S series devices, it is safer to predict a screen enlargement in the S5 too. The screen size of the S5 would be most probably more than 5 inches. If it will be coming with metal body, there is no doubt that the premium look will be the USP of the next Galaxy S. We can expect a faster processor and a bigger RAM in the S5. That means stunning performance flow and gaming experience.
As per the latest reports, there would be a more powerful battery to power up the whole device. The 2600 mAh battery in the Galaxy S4 was not sufficient. So, there are chances for a powerful massive battery.
Whatever the spec might be, the camera of the device will be its major attraction. If we can trust these reports, the team Samsung will be done with the preparation of their new camera by the end of 2013 and the year 2014 will witness the release of the Galaxy S5 smartphone. But the company has not confirmed the releasing dates or the price. They are keeping their mouths zipped, which is not a surprise to any of us. Obviously, you will have to start savings if you plan to but Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone. It will definitely be higher than the releasing price of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone.
