The whole world know how much BlackBerry is struggling to get a grip over the smartphone market in the current status of the company. Recently, we heard that BlackBerry is looking forward to get some investors or some company for take over. Even under this much pressure, they are still releasing devices which shows the dedication and the spirit for survival.
Earlier, there had been rumours about a new flagship smartphone from the company. Now, the rumour is getting stronger and the device has a rumoured name, the Z30. As per the latest rumours from the rumour mill, the Z30 will be launching in an event on September 18th. If the rumours are correct, the event will be hosted in Malaysia. As per the latest reports from the circles close to the company, the new device will be releasing in Asian stores soon after its official launching.
According to the reports, simultaneous events will be held in France and India. So, we can hope that the Z30 will be shipping to India soon. But it is the Malaysian event that has been highlighted. After its appearance in Asia, the Z30 smartphone will be travelling all the way to the U.S., as per the leaked report. So far, there is no word about a UK release.
The Z30 smartphone is said to be the updated substitute for the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone. Z10 was one of the forerunners of the company's full touch screen device, without a QWERTY key pad. If the reports are correct, the Z30 smartphone will be having a display of 5 inch with 1280×768 pixels support and Super AMOLED display. The Z10 had only a 4.2 inches display. This increased display size provides more room for an extra row of icons on the home screen.
If the leaked news are correct, the device will be having a 1.7 GHz dual core processor, with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage memory and a provision to expand the memory using an SD card. The Z30 smartphone will be having an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. There will be a 2880 mAh battery to power up the whole device.
The Operating System of the Z30 smartphone will be the BlackBerry 10.2, which is an updated version of the BlackBerry 10 OS. There are rumours that the device will be supporting Qi wireless charging and also NFC.
Though there are no reports about the expected price tag of the Z30 smartphone, we can expect that it will not be an entry level or a mid ranged smartphone. There are possibilities that the Z30 will be a high ranged smartphone. Black Berry is putting all their hopes in to this single device it seems. Whether it will save the company or not, is a question only time can answer. Till then let's wait.
