Android KitKat – the Next Version of Google's OS

Watch the new teaser of Android KitKat!

After Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean, the next version of Android is gonna make you drool. It is named the KitKat! Yea, you heard it right. Its KitKat. The famous chocolate! The head of Google and Android, Mr. Sundar Pichai has confirmed it. The company has started a flashy page for the new OS too. Unlike we had expected, it is the 4.4 version of Android, note the 5.

KitKat is the chocolate bar, owned by Nestle. We knew that the next version of the Android will be that of a dessert, as it is the tradition of the company. But KitKat...well, we didn't expect the company to take our hopes that literally! The first decided name was the Key Lime Pie. But the company has changed the name as they figured out that only a few people know the taste of the Key Lime Pie. So, they have decided to go for something more familiar and popular, and landed safely on KitKat.

Android KitKat

The brand name has been decided after a joint decision of Google and Nestle. Google says that "it's our goal with Android KitKat to make an amazing Android experience available for everybody." let their wish be true, as this is the version of OS that will have to be running not only on smartphones, but on Smart Watches, low cost smartphones, lap tops and so many gaming consoles. Google says that they "can’t wait to release the next version of the platform that is as sweet as the candy bar that’s one of our team’s favourites."

Android KitKat

The company has released a rather funny trailer too, where it connotatively makes fun of their main rival, the Cupertino giant. Check out here the official trailer of Android KitKat Operating system.
