Lineage OS is pretty cool and they roll out official builds and updates every time. You can easily flash Lineage Os, but first, check whether your phone is listed in the official lineage os website wiki.lineageos.org/devices/ and confirm. if your device is in the list, then download the latest zip file and flash it with a latest TWRP recovery. If you are stuck in between process, you can read about flashing methods in XDA forums.

Zuk Z1 is a very good smartphone. You could purchase the Zuk Z1, but remember it got launched back in 2015. Many smartphones with more advanced technologies came into the market after that. If you have the money, I will suggest you buy a Moto G5 S Plus, as Moto has little bloatware and gets official updates fastly. In the case of Zuk Z1, the LineageOS works flawlessly and is butter smooth. the Zuk Z1 is a good bet if you are on a budget.

Here is a little hack for you: You can check the( wiki.lineageos.org/devices/) page and buy the latest smartphone on the supported list, then you will continuously get updates regularly over new official android os updates. That is, the latest smartphone will support 2 or 3 new Official OS Updates, so u could install Official Android updates ranging from O, P, Q and also could install new custom ROMs when developed over time.
